yasir bhai ur blog is very helpful and informative. i will be thankful if u tell about the cellular network coverage within gilgit. and define a budget for 4 people visiting gilgit.

there is not much coverage on KKH but there is coverage around major cities such as Gilgit…budget would be around 10k per person but it depends upon the number of days…

We wanted to go in May to Gilgit ,Skardu for 1 week, What would be the budget as we have a group of 8 persons. What u suggest should we go in May

You can go to Gilgit and Skardu in May but Babusar Pass might not be open…so you would have to go via KKH. KKH is not in such good condition. So I recommend that you go in June when the pass is open. Keep a budget of at least Rs.10,000 per person.
